POSITION SUMMARY:

The purpose of the Assembly Technician is to assist in the complete assembly process of Cummins Industrial engines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safety – conduct all activities in a safe manner, utilizing PPE and adhering to company policy and alerting others regarding potential concerns. Safety is # 1.
• Ensure that all work is properly performed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area
• Work shifts and overtime, as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Dependable Attendance, maintain accurate job times by company software
• Own the personal tooling necessary for job duties (wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, torque wrenches, impacts, etc.
• Knowledge of mechanics and basic shop mathematics.
• Ability to navigate Cummins Quickserve and INSITE software.
• Ability to work autonomously in the disassembly and assembly of Cummins industrial engines i.e. QSK50 & QSK60
• Ability to assess failed iron and produce parts list for additional parts required
• Assist in dyno set up and testing of Cummins industrial engines
• Ability to follow company instructions and procedures.
• Strive for continual improvement within all areas of responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required.
• Five (5) years’ experience in engine assembly or other related disciplines (disassembly) required.
• Meet the skills / knowledge / ability essential functions and responsibilities required.
• Thorough knowledge of and demonstrated compliance with company policy, procedure and performance expectations required.
• Ability to lift to 50# is required.
