About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced Account Manager with a strong technical background in machining to join our small sales team. Ideally candidates must demonstrate their ability to accurately quote all aspects of jobs (machining, fabrication and external service providers), identify and capitalize on sales opportunities, manage jobs from quoting to delivery and to write detailed technical reports. 

Your sales efforts will be supported by an engineering facility with advanced machining capability as well as extensive technical and engineering support. 

To be considered for this position you should have: -

• Minimum of three years’ experience in sales and account management
• Prior experience in Quoting and Estimating
• Demonstratable experience in establishing and maintaining mutually beneficial customer relationships.
• BD experience is desirable
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to work successfully autonomously, as well as in a team environment
• Strong negotiation skills
• Mechanical or Trade Qualifications is desirable though not essential
• Project Management experience is highly advantageous
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and of ERP software (Pronto preferred).
• Management of a small team is desirable though not essential
