The Opportunity

We are in the process of expanding our engine & powertrain rebuild facilities to the west coast with a new purpose-build facility based in Kewdale. In this permanent full-time role, you will have a unique opportunity to be a part of this exciting new venture helping us shape the west coast engines division! 

 

Duties & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Branch Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supervise production and warehouse activities, ensuring all work is performed to a high standard and in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
  • Facilitate daily production and pre-start meetings.
  • Ensure that all employees comply with current safety policies and procedures.
  • Support a performance-based culture and actively implement the company performance review process. 
  • Act as first point of contact for employee queries, clarifications and direction of work priorities. 
  • Provide assistance to the Branch Manager and liaise with other departments if required, e.g. Safety, Sales, HR.

 

About You

To be considered for this position you will ideally have:

  • Mechanical Trade – Heavy Diesel Fitting
  • At least five years’ experience in a similar role
  • High level of engine repair, rebuild and diagnostic experience 
  • Cat C175 Engine experience, is highly desirable
  • Front-line leadership/supervisory experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Computer literacy; knowledge of Pronto ERP system would be advantageous
  • Exposure to Heavy Mobile Equipment.
