The Opportunity

We are in the process of expanding our engine & powertrain rebuild facilities to the west coast with a new purpose-built facility based in Kewdale. In this permanent full time role, you will have a unique opportunity to be a part of this new venture helping us shape the west coast engines division from its inception! 

Due to an exciting new project we are seeking Engine Rebuild Fitters with Caterpillar C175-16 and 3500 series experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Disassemble and rebuild Powertrain components and associated products in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
• Component measure and inspection for its reusability and/or repair.
• Supply relevant information to enable the Branch Manager or Salesperson to provide a costing for the customer.
• Ensure special processes are carried out to specification.
• Manual handling.
• Undertake appropriate housekeeping duties to ensure the safe operation of their work area.
• Ensure IMS compliance is met, and that all documentation conforms.

About You

To be considered for this position you will ideally have:

• Mechanical Trade – Heavy Diesel Fitting
• Caterpillar C175-16 and 3500 engine rebuild experience.
• High Risk Work License
• Four to eight years’ experience in a similar role. 
• Experience in Diesel Engine rebuilds, repairs including diagnostic skills - is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Solid grasp of numbers and high degree of accuracy.
• Exposure to Heavy Engineering / Mining Services / Construction Industry.
