The Opportunity

We currently seeking an enthusiastic Trade Assistant / Radiator Fitter to join our Kalgoorlie team. In this full-time role, you will work on the service and repair of radiators, oil coolers, charge air coolers and other associated products.

While a mechanical trade qualification is highly regarded, candidates with a high level of mechanical aptitude and experience with large mining equipment would be highly regarded. On the job training will be provided as needed. 

Duties & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Branch Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

• Radiator maintenance and repairs, rebuilds and bolt up

• Prepare and paint components if required for touch up

• Stripping, washing, and testing components

• Operation of hand tools such as grinders, spray painting equipment, and other tools and machinery

• Housekeeping duties to ensure safe operation of the work area

• Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of employee knowledge

About You

To be considered for this position you will ideally have:

• Mechanical aptitude and/or experience in a similar role. 

• High Risk Work License – Forklift and Dogging (Dogging training can be provided) 

• Mechanical and/or radiator knowledge (preferred).

• Experience with Tig and Mig welding on steel and aluminium repairs (preferred but not essential).

• Previous experience working in mining / manufacturing industry (preferred).
