Title:  General Labourer

POSITION SUMMARY:

The General Laborer will be responsible for assisting warehouse and/or hill shop employees with day-to-day tasks.

It is the responsibility of every H-E Parts International, Mining Solutions employee to insure a safe work environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Conduct all activities in a safe manner, utilizing PPE and adhering to company policy and alerting others regarding potential concerns. Safety is # 1.

2. Work with warehouse and/or hill shop personnel for prioritized list of upcoming work.

3. Help Co-workers with projects and tasks and comprehend instructions while working in the parts yard and warehouse.

4. Assist or perform routine maintenance on shop equipment or vehicles.

5. Assist with preparing parts and components for shipping.

6. Perform daily cleaning tasks as needed.

7. Assists when needed with other miscellaneous needs including but not limited to warehouse/hill shop waste removal, warehouse/hill shop area organization, special projects, etc.

8. Performs safe operation of forklifts with acceptable experience and training.

9. Wash/clean equipment and components as needed.

10. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONTACTS:

Position requires collaboration with department personnel and area manager.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

1. A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.

2. Forklift experience is preferred.

3. Work experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.

4. Computer experience preferred.

5. Organizational, Time Management, Process Improvement Skills

6. Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
