Position Summary
Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Integral part of the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of monthly financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. The candidate will also assist with accounts receivable under the direction of the Credit Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Safety – conduct all activities in a safe manner, utilizing PPE and adhering to company policy and alerting others regarding potential concerns. Safety is # 1
Strategic Partnership
1. Partner with division management team to help drive the business forward (KPI monitoring, cost cutting measures, inventory management…)
2. Adhere to global system of accounting policies.
3. Interact with Controller and Credit Manager on a regular basis.
Transactions
1. Perform month-end and year-end closing process.
2. Automate manual processes.
3. Maintain an orderly accounting filing system. 4. Implement and monitor system of controls over accounting transactions.
5. Prepare and review monthly reconciliations of significant general ledger accounts. 6. Maintain the chart of accounts.
7. Reconcile customer payments and perform credit analysis.
Reporting
1. Assist team in issuing timely, complete, and accurate financial statements. 2. Calculate and report financial and operating metrics.
3. Provide financial analyses, as needed.
4. Assist in preparation of monthly AR reporting.
Compliance
1. Assist with the provision of information to external and internal auditors.
2. Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Other
1. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
2. Maintain customer setup workflow and ensure required documentation is obtained prior to approval
3. Perform other duties, as assigned.
INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONTACTS:
Position requires collaboration with department managers, colleagues in other divisions, and current/potential customers.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
1. Accounting degree and/or related degree and experience.
2. 1 year of full cycle accounting experience, or related experience.
3. Experience in a remanufacturing environment highly desirable
4. Ability to adjust to different circumstances and cope with job related pressures/stress.
5. Intermediate to advanced applications software expertise (Microsoft Office and accounting software)
