POSITION SUMMARY:
Working closely alongside the EVP-North America, this position would provide oversight of North American business priorities and projects related to property consolidations and expansions. The Project Manager will also be accountable for the development of the project management framework within the North American operations including business and property consolidation. The Project Manager will represent the interests of HEPI and will partner with the external implementation consultants to ensure the successful delivery of the program and to enable the transfer of knowledge from any implementation team to HEPI and the post-implementation support teams. The PM collaborates with the business stakeholders, property owners, external builders and contractors, process owners, and subject matter experts, serving as the lead person to coordinate, influence and manage the execution of Facility Consolidations and Expansion.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Determining the gap between current suitability and future need and developing a business plan for the solution
a) Act as a centralized function for all activity around leased facilities that relate to optimizing our footprint in important geographic areas across North America.
b) Liaising with operational managers to detail current usage and opportunities within existing facilities.
c) Develop future need statements and identify the gap to be addressed.
d) Working with external contractors and landlords on developing commercial proposals with alternatives.
e) Develop business cases for presentations to Executive management and the Board including investment, timing, risk and alternative solutions.
2. Manage all facets of alterations, expansion and new builds after approval is obtained.
a) Oversee and manage all terms of agreements, alongside legal, and act as expert and point of contact.
b) Be the owner’s representative to manage scope and cost within budget.
c) Ensure all building codes and legislative requirements are met by contractors and sub-contractors.
3. Implement a formal project management framework to track the status of all projects.
4. Implement cadence of reporting structure to leadership on status of open projects in a timely manner.
5. Work closely with program sponsors to confirm project scope, timing and overall business objectives. Collaborate with third party implementation partners to develop and confirm global systems implementation plans, deliverables, resource requirements, budgets and overall schedules.
6. Organize and coordinate project workstreams to identify dependencies and potential areas of risk.
7. Utilize project management best practices and methods to support the execution of the program.
8. Responsible for the execution of projects to ensure that they are implemented on time and on budget.
9. Support project teams to prepare and coordinate meetings, provide documentation.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Bachelor’s degree in project management or related field
· 10+ years of overall experience with a proven track record of implementing facility expansions and consolidations.
· Extensive experience with implementing projects and business initiatives
· Manufacturing, Engineering Industry experience preferred.
· Experience managing third-party partners, including implementation consultants.
· Demonstrated experience in leading diverse teams.
· Experience working with project management software.
· Industrial technical experience regarding manufacturing layout.

· Excellent project management and team-building skills, with a track record demonstrated across a range of project types.
· Significant knowledge of project planning, scheduling, and collaboration tools with a solid track record of practical applications such as Microsoft Teams.
· Ability to analyze, understand, and effectively communicate between business requirements and technical design and implementation.
· Problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills to influence management as well as internal and external partners for effective change management.
· Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, lean six sigma process/tools, and process mapping would be a plus.
