Position Overview:

HEPI is seeking a strategic and results-driven Global Inventory Manager to lead the development, standardization, and execution of global inventory policies, processes, and performance management across all regions. This individual will be responsible for driving inventory optimization, improving operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and enabling collaboration across global and regional teams.

 

As HEPI continues to expand, this role is critical to maintaining consistent and scalable inventory practices that support growth, cost control, and global alignment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Standardize Global Inventory Processes and Controls

· Develop and implement standardized inventory management policies and procedures across all sites.

· Ensure inventory management compliance, and operational consistency across business units and geographies.

 

Define and Manage Min/Max Stock Policies

· Establish global guidelines for minimum and maximum stock levels.

· Set review frequencies and ensure alignment with business demand and supply chain capabilities.

· Monitor regional adherence to policies and support corrective actions as needed.

· Design and implement a structured approval process for one-off or exceptional inventory purchases.

 

Optimize Inventory Efficiency and Cost

· Analyze and identify excess, obsolete, slow-moving, and underutilized inventory.

· Lead redistribution and rationalization efforts to ensure efficient inventory utilization.

· Collaborate with regional teams to continuously improve inventory days on hand (DOH) and reduce carrying costs.

 

Strategic Initiatives / Long-Term Goals

· Lead initiatives to digitize inventory reporting and improve supply chain sustainability by reducing excess and obsolescence inventory.

· Monitor inventory additions and validate follow-through on stock movements and usage.

· Improve visibility, accountability, and alignment with strategic goals.

 

Measure and Benchmark Regional Inventory KPIs

· Define and report on inventory performance metrics, including turnover, days on hand, accuracy, and excess/obsolete inventory.

· Conduct benchmarking across regions to identify best practices and improvement opportunities.

· Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership.

 

 

Drive Global Collaboration and Communication

· Establish communication channels and governance models between regional and global inventory teams.

· Lead cross-functional meetings to align inventory priorities, share insights, and drive coordinated actions.

· Support training and change management efforts related to inventory systems and policies.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Operations, or a related field

· 5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain or inventory management in a global environment.

· Proven track record of designing and implementing inventory controls and optimization initiatives.

· Strong analytical skills, with experience using ERP and reporting tools (e.g., Pronto, SAP, Oracle, Power BI, Tableau).

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional, multicultural teams.

· Ability to lead change, influence stakeholders, and drive process adoption across a matrix organization.

· Experience in the mining industry preferred.

 

Preferred Skills:

· APICS/CSCP or similar supply chain certification.

· Experience with global distribution, manufacturing, or multi-site operations.
