PURPOSE: H-E Parts (Brake Supply) is hiring for a Cylinder Teardown Mechanic. The purpose of this position is to tear down hydraulic cylinders and related heavy equipment components to meet customer needs and expectations in a safe and efficient manner.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: All team members are expected to work in an alert and conscientious manner, following all safety rules and procedures and remaining in the proper physical condition to perform their work assignments. Working in a safe and healthful manner and observing safety rules and procedures are conditions of employment for everyone.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. At least one year mechanical work experience or equivalent education is preferred. Must be able to pass background/drug tests.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Have the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, suppliers, and other team members of the organization.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Have the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The team member frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The team member is occasionally required to walk and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; however the use of lifting equipment is recommended. |
