We are currently hiring for a Buyer/ Purchasing Agent.

Hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday - Friday)

The purpose of this position is to acquire parts and inventory necessary for production and ensure inventory levels are met in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process purchase orders for parts, inventory, office supplies, shop supplies and other items, as needed

Arrange transportation for purchased goods
Maintain vendor records, inventory availability and delivery of purchased goods
Source quotes on needed items
Keep updated records in internal software (Prelude)
Qualify monthly inventory levels based on business need and usage

EXPERIENCE NECESSARY:

3+ years prior experience in similar position

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Excellent organization skills
Handle rush orders as the need arises and have flexibility to change routines
Demonstrate accuracy when working with detail
Strong ability to multitask
Apply common sense understanding to carry out oral and written instructions
Effectively share necessary information with those involved
Strong computer skills, especially with EXCEL, WORD and Prelude
Be able to complete projects with minimal supervision
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and follow established procedures
High school diploma or GED required
