POSITION SUMMARY: Coordinates and assists in directing activities in a safe manner for all first/second shift employees to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Safety – conduct all activities in a safe manner, utilizing PPE and adhering to company policy and alerting others regarding potential concerns. Safety is # 1.

· Inspects product to verify production specifications are met before reuse.

· Ensures execution of established production schedule.

· Recommends measures to improve methods, equipment performance, and quality of product and reduce product loss and suggests change in working conditions and use of equipment for increase efficiency.

· Able to communicate, monitor and control tooling costs and to work within the approved budget.

· Ensure that assigned areas in the plant are always kept clean, all items or equipment are safely stored, and that the shop team adheres to cleanliness standards.

· Train and provide technical guidance to new and current employees in assigned department.

· Enforces safety regulations and good manufacturing practices.

· Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists others in solving work problems and initiates or suggests plans to achieve work goals.

· Provides input into other employee’s skills level and performance to the manager

· Plan and assist in executing all training required to enhance the skills and competency of all employees and ensure that all personnel performing remanufacturing are properly trained, certified and meet the necessary quality standards.

· Provide leadership for others for safety, loss prevention and cost reduction activities.

· Serves as first point of contact for all technical inquiries and verification needs.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Knowledge of and proven ability to service and repair all forms of commonly encountered heat exchange equipment.

· Mechanical &/or Radiator knowledge

· Metal Soldering Experience

· A certificate from an accredited technical school and two years' experience; or equivalent education and experience required.

· Work related experience must consist of hands-on Mechanic work.

· Excellent organization and time management skills and the ability to provide leadership, and training using positive techniques to ensure maximum productivity; and adhere to expectations.

· Willingness to travel for training.
