POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Position is to manage Casper Shop Processes, Procedures and Policies, With Safety Being The #1 Priority At All Times, Setting and achieving Monthly Production Goals, Job Quality, Employee Development and Maintain Positive Employee Morale.

The purpose of this position is to lead the Casper Production Team, to seek out and eliminate problems enabling the department to achieve established safety, quality and productivity goals, reduce cost of repairs, build teamwork, develop people and coordinate other quality projects to improve processes.

 

 

SAFETY

· Follow and stay current with company safety policies by attending and participating in meetings and training sessions (OSHA, First Aid, safety, fork truck, company)

· Assign a team member to conduct weekly safety walk-through and participate in monthly and quarterly Safety/Contamination Control/5S meetings and audits

· Report all safety accidents and near-miss accidents within 48 hours of the accident following HEPI’s accident reporting guidelines

· Work safely and promote safe work practices to prevent on-the-job injuries

· Continually search for opportunities to improve safety to meet the established incident rate and lost time accident goals

· Train new team members in safe and proper work techniques and in use of supplies, materials and equipment

· Begin all team member meetings (with six or more team members) with a safety tip

 

QUALITY

· Ensure team members are following established ISO rebuild procedures by auditing processes on a regular basis.

· Review all FTTQ failures from previous day in daily team member huddle

· Monitor repetitive FTTQ failures to determine root cause and take corrective action

· Determine root cause and corrective action for all departmental allowed warranties using established processes.

 

PRODUCTIVITY

· Work with Production Control to schedule customer Hot Rush orders and achieve daily throughput goals for teardown, inspection and assembly. Report Planned Percent Complete (PPC) during Daily Production Meeting.

· Communicate expectations and hold team members accountable for meeting production standards

· Monitor build times versus standard times and act as required to continuously improve

· Ensure workflow within the department is efficient by following lean manufacturing techniques

 

 

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

 

This position requires the ability to think strategically to determine better solutions and processes while juggling multiple priorities. The order of priority in this position is safety first, then quality, and then production. Being able to plan and manage your team accordingly is essential. Excellent communication skills are required by listening and understanding to fully comprehend current processes for continuous improvement ideas. The ability to work alongside team members in the department and monitor their work performance as well as answering questions while facilitating workflow is required. This position is generally the “go to” person for inspection related questions and requires a higher level of product knowledge and experience.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

· At least 3 years of work-related experience (internal or external)

· Previous leadership experience required

· High School Diploma or GED required, College level education preferred

· Mechanical aptitude and ability to use and read precision measuring instruments

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Demonstrated leadership qualities
