Title:  Route Driver - Part Time

PURPOSE:

To drive company products to customer sites in a safe and professional manner while obeying all State and Federal laws

relative to transporting goods by truck

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Pick up and deliver product to customer locations

· May assist in loading and unloading truck.

· Responsible for the condition of his vehicle and look for any malfunctioning part

· Must inspect the cargo to check whether it has been loaded correctly

· Maintains contact with base or supervisor to receive instructions or be dispatched to new location

· Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations.

· Keeps record of materials and products transported

· Secure load properly while obeying all State and Federal laws

· Operates equipment on vehicle to load, unload, or disperse cargo or materials

· Maintains driver log according to I.C.C. regulations

· Assists in loading and unloading truck manually

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

· Above average oral and written communication skills

· Ability to drive types of trucks up to and including CDL rated trucks

· Above average computer skills

· Knowledge of DOT regulations

· Have ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram

form
