Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for overseeing H-E Parts Procurement, Logistics, Inventory Management and Warehousing functions in North America with the intent of maximizing process and asset efficiency, productivity, and sourcing. Partnering with Production, Product Management, Engineering and Sales to ensure timely delivery of high-quality parts and components to customers, and working with the Global team to ensure the achievement of strategic direction and goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Operational Requirements
- Provide leadership and guidance to the team of Purchasing and Procurement Managers and Logistics.
- Development and implementation of a supply chain strategic plan to ensure the achievement of the strategic direction and goals in conjunction with Global teams.
- Inventory management and control; establishing stock levels, optimizing vendor lead-times and quantities, asset utilization, allocation and assortment strategy, replenishment, with the goal of meeting corporate DOH KPIs and minimizing production down time.
- Inventory forecasting by leveraging demand and supply planning data as well as production schedules to forecast upcoming performance as well as inventory and production needs on a location and regional level.
- Interface with Global teams to optimize the intercompany supply strategy.
- Foster an environment of Continuous Improvement and utilize Lean Manufacturing tools.
- Review and contribute to Global Purchasing strategy in conjunction with Global teams.

COMPETENCIES
Business and Technical Systems:
- Computer literate with Microsoft products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or another relevant field.
- Experience with Pronto or other ERP systems.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role with a background in procurement, international supply chain, sales, or technical.
- Proven managerial experience is a bonus.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with solid understanding of supply chain and inventory management systems.
- Exposure to and demonstrated understanding of the mining/manufacturing industry.
- Advanced knowledge of forecasting and budgeting processes.
