POSITION SUMMARY

The Director, Global Infrastructure and Security is responsible for the performance, reliability, and protection of the company’s global technology environment. This leader will work with a talented team to provide direction, coordination, and continued growth in modern engineering practices. The role focuses on stabilizing core infrastructure, improving lifecycle health, reducing technical debt, strengthening security controls, and advancing global standards across all regions.

This position plays a central role in modernizing how IT operates across the company. The leader in this role will set expectations, reinforce good operational habits, and build a more proactive and accountable engineering culture. They will assess current gaps, shape a practical roadmap, and ensure follow through across infrastructure, identity, endpoint, network, and security operations.

As a global role, this position must build strong relationships and trust with regional leaders, local business teams, and cross functional partners. The director will serve as a visible, reliable partner who understands local needs while driving global consistency.

The right candidate is a strong leader who can coach, guide, and mentor a lean team while staying close enough to the work to step in when needed. They balance strategic leadership with hands on execution and help create a culture that is collaborative, steady, and focused on outcomes.

This position will collaborate closely with Application, Security, and Data & Integration teams to ensure our IT strategies are aligned, efficient, and well-communicated across functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Infrastructure Strategy and Execution

· Develop, own, and execute the global infrastructure roadmap, prioritizing security, scalability, lifecycle health, and end user enablement.

· Champion a cloud first approach while evaluating and implementing modern solutions across the environment.

· Evaluate and implement managed service models where appropriate to balance internal capability and vendor performance.

· Drive modernization efforts while maintaining strong fundamentals such as backups, monitoring, patching, and endpoint hygiene.

· Ensure platforms and infrastructure can scale to support growth, operational needs, and M&A integration.

· Strengthen engineering discipline through documentation, standards, and consistent process adoption.

Security Leadership and Infrastructure Protection

· Oversee security operations tied directly to infrastructure, including identity hygiene, endpoint protection, patching compliance, and vulnerability remediation, and incident response coordination.

· Lead Security and Compliance to ensure the environment meets requirements for frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and JSOX.

· Improve visibility and resilience through enhanced monitoring, logging, and alerting.

· Embed security by design principles into infrastructure decisions, architecture, and lifecycle planning.

· Support initiatives such as Zero Trust and segmentation where infrastructure plays a core role.

· Ensure consistent application of security standards across regions while respecting local operational needs.

Operational Excellence and Service Reliability

· Improve reliability by reducing outages and addressing chronic issues and technical debt across regions.

· Strengthen patching, monitoring, alerting, configuration management, and lifecycle visibility.

· Lead and enforce predictable change management practices aligned with ITIL.

· Establish and track KPIs that reflect system performance, lifecycle health, security posture, and service quality.

· Improve vendor and MSP performance through structured governance, measurable SLAs, and accountability.

Vendor and Financial Management

· Manage global infrastructure and security budgets with clear forecasting, prioritization, and alignment to business needs.

· Oversee vendor relationships across regions, ensuring strong performance, cost control, and accountability through structured governance.

· Evaluate and negotiate contracts, renewals, and service agreements to ensure the company receives value, flexibility, and the right service levels.

· Maintain clear visibility into licensing, subscriptions, hardware warranties, support models, and consumption based services.

· Balance CAPEX and OPEX models while guiding the business on total cost of ownership and long term financial impacts.

· Ensure financial transparency through tracking, reporting, and responsible stewardship of technology investments.

Leadership and Team Development

· Lead, coach, and mentor a lean global team, supporting skill development and encouraging modern engineering practices.

· Build a culture that balances hands on execution with consistent planning and operational discipline.

· Create clear roles, expectations, and growth paths for team members.

· Model steady, collaborative leadership that reinforces trust across regions.

Collaboration and Cross Functional Alignment

· Partner closely with Application, ERP, and Data and Integration teams to ensure infrastructure supports performance, security, and integration requirements.

· Build strong relationships with regional leaders and business stakeholders to understand needs and drive adoption of global standards.

· Communicate priorities, risks, and progress in practical, executive friendly terms.

· Ensure infrastructure and security considerations are represented in key technology and business decisions.

Change Enablement and User Experience

· Improve user experience by reducing friction across endpoint, network, and collaboration tools.

· Lead changes in a way that minimizes disruption and increases predictability across regions.

· Communicate clearly around upgrades, outages, and new capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

· 10+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years in global infrastructure leadership roles.

· Experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors.

· Proven ability to design and implement infrastructure and security strategies that scale across regions and business units.

· Strong technical understanding of hybrid environments including Azure, O365, identity, virtualization, networking, and endpoint platforms.

· Experience managing or integrating managed service providers and third-party vendors across multiple regions.

· Demonstrated success improving lifecycle health, reducing technical debt, and maturing infrastructure and security operations.

· Strong understanding of ITIL and operational governance, including incident, problem, and change management.

· Experience coordinating incident response activities tied to infrastructure and security events.

· Track record of aligning infrastructure with business needs and communicating technical value in clear, measurable terms.

· Demonstrated experience improving infrastructure and security maturity and standardization across complex environments.

Preferred Skills

· Strong experience with Fortinet security and networking platforms.

· Background supporting ERP environments from an infrastructure and security perspective.

· Certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft Azure Architect, CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, or PMP.

· Familiarity with SASE, SD WAN, Zero Trust, segmentation, and other modern security and network architectures.

· Experience working in lean, high growth, or transforming IT organizations.

· Proficiency with collaboration tools and project management platforms such as Smartsheet and Power BI.

· Spanish or Japanese fluency is a plus.
